Helmet Painter Of The Month: October
AntmanCustomTrixEU & Helmet 28 are proud to announce that Pépéracingdesign & TZI Design from Portugal is our October Helmet Painter Of The Month!

A bit about Pedro Miranda from Pépéracingdesign…

” Pépéracingdesign was born in 2013 as a result of a huge life passion. Since childhood i have always had a passion for racing cars and for the graphic design in general. I always had this activity as a hobby and when I was a kid I already decorated motorbikes and helmets for me and my friends manually. Later when I started going to kart racing, I started decorating my friends karts and helmets manually too. I also went through automobile modeling where I won several awards for the quality of the detail of my constructions. I’m graduate in visual communication design since 1997, an activity that I have been doing together with the drawing teaching in the portuguese public school. I am 48 years old”.

“The professional racing design in Portugal is not an easy activity because it’s a small market, and the Portuguese Racing Culture is only now beginning to realize the importance of having a good image, a well decorated car, a well painted helmet and that these services should be properly recognized”.

“This is my life project and has been developed fueled mainly by my passion and commitment, step by step, aiming to make the difference in the Portuguese and International Racing Scene. I know I have the quality to succeed”.

“I have partners to produce and execute my creations and projects. In the the helmets case I have with me the best portuguese helmet painter, Mr. TZI Custom, who brilliantly executes my designs, with whom I am glad to share this months award”.

Q&A with Pedro – Pépéracingdesign

1.What Helmet are you most proud of painting and why?

The helmet of which I am most proud is the latter that you have elected. It’s my 5th helmet, which is more perfect, respecting exactly my design. The articulation between me and the painter was perfect…

2.Outside of painting what are your passions or hobbies?

Cars, Racing, Music, Cinema and Art in general.

3.If you weren’t a helmet painter, what would you be doing?

In my case I do not see myself doing anything that has nothing to do with graphic design.

4.What is your favourite helmet that someone else has painted?

One of my favourite helmet paint is the Giedo van der Garde helmet, Caterham, 2013, by Koop Kustoms.

5. If you could work on one drivers’ helmet, past or present, who would you pick?

From my beloved Ayrton Senna, certainly.
