Helmet Painter Of The Month: March 2018

Helmet28 & Petrolhead Italia are proud to announce that Mad56 from Italy is our March 2018 Helmet Painter Of The Month!

Q&A with Massimo Dante – Mad56

1. What Helmet are you most proud of painting and why?

I was really happy to paint the helmet of Charles Leclerc, because he’ s a really good guy and obviously very fast. He won the world championship of F2 last year with my helmet which was unbelievable. Now i am also painting his brothers helmet Arthur, which gives me great satisfaction.

2. Outside of painting what are your passions or hobbies?

I’m a semiprofessional karting driver for the Maranello karting team.

3. If you weren’t a helmet painter, what would you be doing?

Probably if i weren’t an helmet painter i’d be a professional karting driver or something else like a mechanic.

4.What is your favourite helmet that someone else has painted?

I really love the Schumacher 1999 helmet. When i started to drive kart i saw a perfect copy of this helmet by another driver which was totally amazing!

5. If you could work on one drivers’ helmet, past or present, who would you pick?

I would like to work with Max Verstappen. I drove with him just 2 times in my career and i was sure he would be an amazing driver… its so great to now see him driving in F1.
