Helmet Painter Of The Month: June
AntmanCustomTrixEU & Helmet 28 are proud to announce that Mau Designs from Italy is our June Helmet Painter Of The Month!A bit about Maurizio from Mau Designs…I have always been passionate about design in general in all its forms. I discovered the airbrush in 1994, curious by seeing  motorcycles (my other passion) and helmets all painted in thousands of colors. So I decided to buy one. With a few initial problems, I began to do my first job and after many years of apprenticeship and in 2007 I decided to turn my main hobby into full time job, specializing in custom paint, especially on motorcycles and helmets. Over the years I participated in several events: The airbrush show in Milan in 2004, then in Genoa in ’05, ’06, ’07, in Aerografica in 2004, 2005 and 2007, and at the Zurich airbrush show in 2005
Q&A with Maurizio Fuso – Mau Designs

As part of our new Helmet Painter Of The Month Award format we get to sit down with the winner and ask them a few questions to see what makes these awesome artists tick!

1.What Helmet are you most proud of painting and why?

There is not a helmet in particular, almost everyone I love, even though those you see on TV for world races give you a lot of satisfaction.

2.Outside of painting what are your passions or hobbies?

I like to ride a motorbike with my friends and my girlfriend.
I like to go for walks. I have the passion for the engines in general (cars, bikes, planes, trains, etc …)

3.If you weren’t a helmet painter, what would you be doing?

As I cultivated the passion of aerography, I made the carpenter for 13 years. Now I do not know exactly what kind of work I would have done. If one day I stop doing this work, I will see at the time.

4.What is your favourite helmet that someone else has painted? There are many! Surely JMD is the designer I like the most. I like Holographic effects, maybe Vettel’s helmet used in SINGAPORE in 2013 is what struck me more.
5. If you could work on one drivers’ helmet, past or present, who would you pick?
As popularity surely Valentino Rossi. I would have liked to do Ayrton Senn’s or Shumacher’s too 🙂
